How do I read an OverDrive ebook?
To get started, borrow an ebook that’s available in the OverDrive Read format from your library. Then, click or tap the Read (In your browser) button on your Checkouts page (under your Account) to begin reading it immediately using OverDrive Read.
How many books can I borrow on OverDrive?
All you need is a library card. OverDrive provides access to about 16,000 libraries and 10,000 school libraries in the U.S. In addition to e-books, the service also lets you borrow audiobooks and streaming video.
Does my library use OverDrive?
If you don’t see your library or school on overdrive.com, they may not offer digital titles through OverDrive yet. Ask a library staff member or a teacher at your school to visit our company website to learn about building a digital collection through OverDrive.
Can you borrow books from other libraries on OverDrive?
Those who can’t install Libby on their mobile device can use the original OverDrive app to borrow and enjoy your OverDrive titles. Most titles are available in the OverDrive Read or OverDrive Listen formats, which allow users to read or listen right in their web browser.
