To enable this option, click on Downloaded tab on the top (see screenshot). Click on Enable Offline button. By doing so, you are in fact downloading a Kindle Cloud Reader web app, that will let you manage stored books in the browser’s memory.
Can I read Kindle books on Windows 10?
The Kindle for PC app can be used on any computer running Windows 7, Windows 8 or 8.1, or Windows 10 in Desktop Mode. To download and install the Kindle for PC app: Go to Kindle for PC. If prompted, choose the option to save the file to your computer.
How do I read Kindle books on Amazon?

The Kindle Reader app is free to download from the App Store, and you can use it to read Kindle books on your iPhone or your iPad, but you can’t buy Kindle e-books or download books in that app either (you can still buy hard copy books though).
