If you have a Kindle account and you’re in the US, you can read most OverDrive library ebooks on your Kindle.
It is in fact easier to read on your Kindle than it is to read in Overdrive’s own apps.
After you’ve checked out an ebook, select the option to download the Kindle ebook.
Can you put OverDrive on a Kindle?
You can borrow Kindle Books from your library to read on Kindle devices or Kindle reading apps. Note: Kindle Books are currently available for U.S. libraries only. If you’re using a Fire tablet, please refer to our guide on getting started with the OverDrive app.
Can I use OverDrive on Kindle Paperwhite?
If your library supports OverDrive digital e-book services, you can check out Kindle-compatible e-books. Note that you have to use your library card, just as you would when borrowing a print book. From your library’s website, you can have the e-book delivered wirelessly to your Kindle through Wi-Fi.
Can I get library books on my Kindle?
Go to the website of your local public library and search for Kindle books / eBooks. At checkout, sign in to your Amazon account, and select the Fire tablet, Kindle e-reader, or supported Kindle reading app to send the book to. Connect your device to Wi-Fi and download the title from the Archived Items or Cloud.
